What lies at the heart of GnB's methodology is what is called ¡°Thought Unit¡± and ¡°Connective Questions¡±. For Korean beginners of English, one of the hardest aspects of studying English is understanding the differences between English and their native language as grammatical forms are so different. ¡°Thought Unit¡± helps students to understand sentences by breaking down a sentence into groups or chunks of two to five words called ¡°Thought Units¡±, and in between these ¡°Thought Units¡± are ¡°Connective Questions¡±, such as ¡°why¡±, ¡°what¡±, ¡°who¡± etc, which are natural questions that arise between these parts. Using this method, students are able to understand and practice speaking and writing much more easily.

Another important aspect of GnB's methodology is the emphasis on dictation. Only by continued practice in dictation is listening comprehension improved as well as writing skills. Most dictation programs in Korea have recordings that are too slow and unnatural. At GnB, there are three speeds to study from, slow-normal-fast, giving students ample amounts of exposure.
Writing composition is another important aspect of GnB's methodology. By writing letters and diaries, students can have lots of chances to practice, which in turn improves their speaking skills. Every skill learned at GnB complements another one, enhancing the students' skills in English.
